Beautiful Tampa Bay is a large natural harbor and Florida’s largest open-water estuary. It is connected to the Gulf of Mexico on Florida’s west central coast, encompassing Hillsborough Bay, McKay Bay, Old Tampa Bay, Middle Tampa Bay, and Lower Tampa Bay. The bay extends over 400 square miles and forms the coastlines of Pinellas, Manatee, and Hillsborough counties. The Hillsborough, Alafia, Manatee, and Little Manatee rivers flow into Tampa Bay. Together, the bays and rivers of Tampa create a paradise of wetlands that provide habitat for a wealth of marine and wildlife. Egmont Key, a National Wildlife Refuge located at the mouth of Tampa Bay, is home to a diverse community of plants, animals, and history. Surrounding the beauty of Egmont Key is an abundance of marine life and fantastic fishing, swimming, and snorkeling. Whether spending a day fishing, sightseeing, or wildlife watching, the Tampa Bay area promises an experience on the water like no other. Captain Banks will treat you to a great day on the water with the opportunity to catch mangrove snapper, trout, redfish, snook, flounder, Spanish mackerel, cobia, pompano, and more!
